This bi-annual C.A.R. Member Profile Survey evaluates REALTOR® business practices and personal characteristics. The results of the survey reflect member efforts to succeed in business and meet the needs of clients, in the presence of changing market trends and increased competition.
Key Findings of this survey include:
- New Members accounted for 48.2 percent of all members, the largest New Member group ever, while Seasoned Members as a share of members fell to 51.8 percent.
- Nine in ten members underwent training classes and/or seminars and three in ten held professional real estate designations.
- Half of all members were attracted by the name recognition or company image when choosing a firm with which to practice real estate; at the same time, a firm’s business philosophy is becoming an important policy when attracting New Members.
