The results of the 2007 Survey of California Home Sellers shed light on evolving consumer trends in real estate. Provides insights to the home selling process at the consumer level. The results of the survey reflect how the expectations and demands of sellers are changing both the real estate marketplace and the way agents deal with clients.
Survey highlights include:
- Sellers were more concerned with the selling price (92%) and the time it would take to sell their home (90%) than in recent years.
- The primary reasons for selling in 2006 stemmed from fundamental reasons such as the desire for a larger home (55%) or better location (20%), as in prior years.
- 92% of sellers used the Internet to research comparable prices and 46% used it to track current market conditions.
